Two Poems
by Manjit Handa, PhD

Axis
Tis been years, I’ve revolved
On that axis.
Several times I raised my feet and stooped
To see where it was.

Thwarted, I sat still
And . . . I felt it and knew,
Like all numinous things, it is invisible.
I am centered.

Mirror
Clean,
Clear,
Hazy,
Watery,
Like me, like you.

So true,
So false,
Deep, distorted,
Beautiful, Ugly,
Fragile,
Like life, DITTO.
